This is true, but I was more concerned by the fact that Exhibit A looks hard as a rock. Couches and beds are supposed to be soft, with round, billowing corners. That thing looks like it could almost be made out of plain wood with fabric draped over it. There's virtually no padding visible at all.
The PTA thrift shop down by the tracks had a couch of this ilk a few years ago back in the furniture section...Just another place to check out on your journeys.
And I think Exhibit B would drive me nuts because I like to lay my head on the arm of the couch while watching TV....
I always thought they were still a bit over-priced at the PTA thrift....Kiwanis sounds like a winner, but boo to early rising on the weekend.
Also, is there a Habitat Re-Store in the metro? They're a double-plus good place to hunt for home wares. You're buying donated goods at a decent/cheap price, and benefitting the Habitat For Humanity organization at the same time.

i was in the first one you mention once--- then forgot it's there. it's out on the west edge of town. i remember lots of ReUse-type stuff for home renovations projects, but i don't think we looked around real thoroughly. i was with a little gang getting ready to paint the rock, and squirrelykat thought of that place for cheap paint leftovers. :)

i'm never sure about these 'industrial'-looking designs. it all strikes me as a bit too 'strict' at times. or something.
