I always thought they were still a bit over-priced at the PTA thrift....Kiwanis sounds like a winner, but boo to early rising on the weekend.

Also, is there a Habitat Re-Store in the metro? They're a double-plus good place to hunt for home wares. You're buying donated goods at a decent/cheap price, and benefitting the Habitat For Humanity organization at the same time.

i was in the first one you mention once--- then forgot it's there. it's out on the west edge of town. i remember lots of ReUse-type stuff for home renovations projects, but i don't think we looked around real thoroughly. i was with a little gang getting ready to paint the rock, and [livejournal.com profile] squirrelykat thought of that place for cheap paint leftovers. :)
