... the well-known formal equivalence between standard general relativity and its teleparallel reformulation. You know---whereas in standard general relativity the gravitational field comes about as the curvature of the Levi-Civita connection of a Lorentzian metric, in the teleparallel reformulation it comes about as the torsion of the Weitzenböck connection of a teleparallel tetrad field.

It's kinda funny when you think about it, isn't it?

She's reading the stuff she's copy editing again. Looks like MR has a dress code, too, now!

I prefer to think of the crazy-curly long hair of [livejournal.com profile] sprig5---see this here picture, even though it's not exactly what it looked like live, I don't think. (I recall the overall roundness of the thing being more symmetrical.) (Hey, maybe that's it---you know I get off of symmetry!)

BTW, one day I'm gonna get it together at the office (where there's a decent connection) and listen to some of your uploaded songs. I'm looking forward to it.

Don't worry. I have a degree in physics, but I still don't follow the subtleties of relativistic theory. My understanding of modern physics peters out in the 1920's. Which partially explains why I'm not a working physicist.

Well, you may not be a working physicist, but you looked damned good with that rocket.
