Jul. 22nd, 2004 11:05 am... the well-known formal equivalence between standard general relativity and its teleparallel reformulation. You know---whereas in standard general relativity the gravitational field comes about as the curvature of the Levi-Civita connection of a Lorentzian metric, in the teleparallel reformulation it comes about as the torsion of the Weitzenböck connection of a teleparallel tetrad field.
