I'm sure it'd make for further compromises of privacy, but facebook would be more fun if you could see how many people "like" both Jon Miller and Pema Chodron, or Dennis Kucinich + Lynn's Paradise Café, or the NYC Public Library + tap water + John Deere.

That's what I'm trying to figure out--- why I want to listen to her talk. Hypothesis: something about the accent.

I don't know if I've ever *seen* her speak; I think I've heard snippets from cassette tapes. I know that she's well-loved by the Christians who are Christian in the same way my Mom is. From what I remember she's a compelling speaker.

There's gotta be some bell she rings in me or something. I ran across her on TV years ago and again just recently. It's her manner. It mesmerizes me.

But so does sitting down and putting on my shoes to go out. :)
