The sun is moving north, at more than 87% of full speed. it passed halfway from the winter solstice position around the 21st.

No. Freaking. Kidding. I wound up having a nervous breakdown in my driveway, bawling with my forehead against the snowblower's handlebar, because I cannot take any more of this. (And because I am far from hardy.)

Snowblower. Whew.I've only seen them. One time my grandfather (in central Wisconsin) gave my father a nonworking one while we were visiting. We took it back to Ohio, and my father got it to cough and sputter a little snow one winter--luckily there wasn't that much. Now I hear there are drifts there higher than people these days. Nothin' here (Md.).
