I never really appreciated brown eyes until this Tuesday. I was at the dentist having the first phase of a new crown done, and the dentist and her first assistant were running out of hands. Things were getting pretty uncomfortably at my end, too. Starting to get a little hard to breathe. So she called in a second assistant, one I hadn't seen before. And she looked down at me with the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen. The kind of rich deep brown eyes you can just sink right into. I kind of had to be careful not to stare, but they really were calming.

i was rather late to notice eye color myself. but, once i did, ...
mine are a most unfortunate shade: nothing. some say "hazel"--- which i've always taken to mean "nothing in particular". talk about boring.

I think my ex had hazel. Though she made them out to be ambicuously colored--sometimes they looked green, sometimes they looked brownish, but you could never tell. So instead of "nothing in particular" it was more like "mysteriously ambiguous."
I guess every eye color needs a PR agent to make it sound cool.

blue, on the other hand, i always thought retained some liveliness--even if you're all ashen at some point (to which i'm getting), you're still assured of this one point of vivid color.
talk about always wishing for what one will not have :)
