I don't know anything.

But I may try to work the phrase "immanentize the eschaton" at a next cocktail party, should I find myself at a cocktail party.

I'd like to find myself at a cocktail party.

I'd get a T-shirt made that says "I FOUND MYSELF AT A COCKTAIL PARTY."

Hmmm. I'm trying to figure out how you could work it in. I guess you could claim to be trying to do it yourslef. Perhaps you could refer to someone else doing it. According to Wikipedia, the phrase has been used by conservatives to criticize socialism and communism, and it's been used by libertarians to criticize dubya and other conservatives.

I think I'll just work in the math thing. That way I'll get hit on only by the dorkiest cocktail imbibers.

The presence of dorky/genius guests who would be able to understand said math thing while drinking makes this whole hypothetical cocktail party a very interesting affair.

so you'll come with, then? if you'll attend, i might even slip into some slinky black number for the occasion.

So let's have a cocktail party. You bring the shirts, I'll bring the cocktails and gays (which seems almost redundant, seeing as they never go anywhere without each other).

I am impressed that there is a word with two meanings, one of which makes my head hurt because it represents a concept that is fuzzy, vague, and pulled out of someone's ass, the other of which makes my head hurt because it is so technical, precise, and pulled out of someone's ass. And for those reasons, I am going to guess that I'll see the word a lot more in the near future, because clearly the eminence of "immanant" is imminent.
