For Tuesday: 49 Up !

I have to say, La Nuit Américaine/Day For Night was well worth waiting for.

I just signed up for blockbuster online on Saturday...they FINALLY found a way to make me happy to use a mail-order service...
3 out at a time for $18.99 or 19.99...And you can return them in store, and get free rental credits for that store, so you can basically, get three movies in the mail, watch them, take them back to the store, get three more movies from the store to watch while waiting for the next three in the mail to come, and then take all 6 back, get three more from the store and get three more coming in the mail, etc...

As I rarely, if ever, rent less than 6 at once, this is a GOOD THING :-) That, and I'm missing my IFC/Sundance movie channels from digital cable, so I figure $20 I was already spending renting ad-hoc, and now they come to my door, and I don't have to pay 60-80 bucks a month for cable just for IFC/Sundance.

I guess I could just watch what movies are showing on those channels and rent them :-)

i thought so, too. i was also wondering if the director was playing "himself," because if he was, then it was a serious lesson in taking things in stride, so to say. it always seems like an encouragement to get a glimpse into the prose of 'art' and how it comes together: if you can't have the actor (who died on the set), get someone who looks like him. talk softly to the woman on the verge of a breakdown and ignore the foibles of the resident asshole.

We're in the process of watching the 7-Up series from the beginning. We have "28-Up" now but haven't gotten around to watching it this weekend.

Watched "An Inconvient Truth" and "Another Gay Movie" yesterday.

I did it yet again with the ANONYMOUS! I'm not sure why I keep getting signed out. The old computer never did that before?

28 is where I came in. I went back to watch from the beginning after 35. Somehow, though one's curiosity about those people propels one forward, the last two haven't seemed as juicy or something.

You'll have to share your thoughts about the watched ones some time.
