My townsfolk hear "Go Blue!"
I watch to see whether
I'll lose a poem, not a
buck. Eyes on their helmets,

I watch to see whether
we cut the lead again.
Buckeyes on their helmets
look like weed. Now

we cut the lead, again.
Six scores this half---two
looked like we'd now
still got a chance, at that.

Six scores this half, too.
Football! Losing, but, whoa,
still got a chance at that
bet. I take lightly

football, losing, but... Woe.
I've lost a poem: not a
bet I take lightly.
My townsfolk here go blue.
