my great great nephew (first "great" personal descriptor, second having something to do with our relationship) is 2! trust me, you want to click here to see him & his cake, unless you hate kids or somethin'.
Very cute wee little lad! I especially like the last action shop.
I wish I got cake on my birthday despite saying I didn't want any (it was last Friday - 37th.) They're not suppose to listen to me when I say ridiculous stuff like that! Geez!
Greetings, kohkae and fflo. kohkae, you're close to exactly 2 years younger than I am, as I was born on the same day at the end of the Summer of Love. i see yer a friend of fflo-- met during the Manhattan years, I presume? Or no? fflo-- I 'm going backwards thru yer journals to catch up. Maybe I'll have time to post to my own....
Now I'm trying to think how you two are alike. Off the top of my head, I'd say that you each have an independent sort of confidently individual take, or way of being solidly in your own shoes (which I envy)---with a mischievous streak in both of you. Though maybe strangers and new acquaintances who aren't paying attention might be less likely to pick up that touch of mischief and irreverence in sprig5.
It would be really cool to spend an afternoon with both of you at the same time, but it's kind of hard to imagine that goin' down.
Oh, and yeah, we're Little Apple tallgrass Flint Hill pals. Where the queers gather as the Group That Dare Not Speak Its Name But Goes By Initials That Are The Same As Future Homemakers of America.
He's still out there in the world! I got a brief e-mail from him---just a holler, really---and hollered back a bit later, but haven't heard from him again apart from a mass e-mail. He's a good egg, that one.
I haven't been to see the clan downy Sho' (var. on "downy ocean", Bawlmerese, as I bet you know) in almost 2 years. Since Sam was an infant. Dave & partner are in Norfolk/Va Beach somewhere; I haven't been to their house, though I'd love to see it. I bet they've fixed it up right good.
