Return of the Automat!

Here's a story about the opening of Bamn in the East Village this week. Won't have the romance the old ones do, as we look back on 'em (in the movies) from here, but cool anyway.



I was just talking about going to New York again soon.

That is too cool! I thought the kids in The Mixed-up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler wer so cool taking their change to the Automat. Don't know if we'll be in the Village when we go with Jeff, though. Probably not. We have a lot of really touristy stuff to fit into a short visit, plus the play. We haven't bought tickets yet, but if I don't hurry up and do so, they are going to be hard to find (we need weekend matinee).

Well maybe. There are still a lot of pieces to get into place: play tickets, hotel, transportation (probably train). I think we're going to get the play tickets soon, then reserve the hotel, then work out the transportation. Jeff really wants to see the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty and Chinatown. I just want to soak up atmosphere, mostly--anything the the boys want to do is okay by me.
