Looks like the Kaiser Franz Josefhaus got its name after an imperial visit in the 1880s.
The Gross Glockner Road was built in the 1930s. If this site is to be believed,

The beautiful iteration on your postcards burned down in 1997. I recognize the brick arches in this most recent (IMHO cheesy "tourist Austria") restaurant
