Here I am, just about "wheels up," at ever so slightly after 10 a.m.
My mother liked to use that expression for the state of road trip readiness, after my father died, with a kind of pleasure that made me think it had been his expression. Sounds like it comes from airplanes, after all, and he did love airplanes.

So glad you're keeping the fellas busy. Got yer phone message, btw---I drove past a few of those ice accidents, and they weren't pretty. Slowed me down good! But as soon as I got into Ohio, the roads were better.
