Now we'll have two Milwaukee postcards of the same view, one during the day and one at night.  I traipsed to that bridge twice to get the view of it in October 2023, day and night.  Several of those buildings are still there!

The way the jump cuts work in Dreamwidth, with the cut opening in a different tab, makes them less fun that the reveals in LJ, sometimes.  (If anyone knows a work-around for Dreamwidth that way, let me know.)  But I'll stick to cuts so the reveals will be at your control.

Also I'm putting a bunch of text here at the top so's to bump the first image down so it'll be centered, as will those that follow.

The postcards are about 100 years old.  Probably just a little older.

The night view seems more dramatically different, somehow.

Very near this spot, just to the left of this view and a little way down the riverside walk, is the statue of Henry Winkler in his "Happy Days" days, known locally as the Bronze Fonz.  It's pretty much life size, so I dressed him up:

Wow, the First Wisconsin Trust Building really grew up, didn't it!

Love the Bronze Fonz.
