I was just typing a work email and lo! outside the window I saw the little woodchuck that sometimes seems at first like an especially zaftig squirrel dive into the ground. A new burrow! Usually my groundhogs live under my "garage" (more an attached shed, at this stage of its life). Special bonus: it's right outside our window. Here's some Where's Waldo for you (I guess I'll call the woodchuck "Waldo", though I suspect it's a female)--- click for bigger, to see that little wejack face:
That second shot reminds me how I've got some cool colorful plastic film things with which to achieve the translucent effect that old plastic film poster from childhood has been providing (blocking the direct sun, cuz I don't believe in curtains), though it's faded considerably in that duty. But I'm also thinking of getting that window replaced, so have held off on experimenting with the film.
To think that I can now recall such ambitions and feel like I may well be up to them soon! Life has gotten so much better. I tell ya, February of this year was pretty fuckin' bad. And now I'm getting around better, and in less pain, and the weather's improving, and I've made a sort of peace with how chorus is, and I can even carry some things some distance, and yet I also got a handicapped parking permit, which I still suddenly grin to realize means I can park close to some place I'm considering going into, on foot (and walking sticks).
I want to write more about physical therapy and my physical therapist, plus about the mysterious chorus woman, who's getting a little less mysterious, but about whom there's at least one new mystery of interest. But I've gotta get back to work just now. So maybe soon on that!
