Oops--- I didn't get to PotD yesterday.  Getting a little spotty that way, I know.  But here some days I'm offering up more than 1 postcard, so maybe my average is still okay.

Today let's look at the move to anticipating the stamped-in name.  It was a nice move.  Here are 4 fine examples.

I especially like how the visual context/concept of the first three matches its content (tho I'm not so sure what they mean about having the world fenced in in Emmett).  But the last one comes closest to the the shape/form by far most commonly used for this sort of card, back in that era.  Can you guess what it is?

Tune in tomorrow and find out!

I am enjoying these generic card posts.

I'm assuming I'm not sure what you mean by shape/form. I would have imagined the most common slogan would have been, "Wish you were here in [PLACE]" -- but no graphical common element comes to mind.
