Bow Tie Tuesday
Aug. 10th, 2021 04:26 pmLook, it's the same shirt I had on last BTT. But I "cheated" on the tie.
Busy again this week. Feels moreso on accounta working on the weekend (from home, and from the library). I keep thinking I'm in little stretches of busy, and maybe I get a small gap of less busy, but then another busy stretch starts. This is arguably good from the engagement perspective, in that being engaged in "life" helps with some (to say the least) bothersome persistencies. Yet I don't want to get stuck in the treadmill stressers and life-gobblers-up that the "busy" state (and state of mind) can engender (you should pardon the expression). (That's me trying to be funny about "gender".) There's even a sense of inflated self-importance that can come out of the "I'm so busy" thing. Not to mention its way of persuading one that "later" is the time for not only household chores but pleasure projects.
So I'm glad I made space & time for the little LEGO project. I just saw the categories that ribbons will be awarded for, and none of them are "Most conceptual" or "Most anthromorphic" or "Most illustrative of community" or even "Most amusing", so it seems like might best shot for a prize is the (vague) "Honorable mention", and that seems like a long shot. :) Of course I'm not in it for the accolades; I'm in it for THE ART! :D :D :D
Pix of LEGOs soon, and then soon too, the annual Postcard of the Day round-up/index/retrospective/celebration. (Prepare to be annoyed about your friends feed taking a while to load a bunch of thumbnails.)
