Oct. 22nd, 2022 12:20 pmI could go on about why I like their team, but one big factor is that their manager is good ol' Bob Melvin, who was an Oriole during my favorite baseball time.
Catchers are so often both the brains and the heart of a team.
He's an old guy now, and has had a lot more career than he'd had then, both as a player and as a manager. I love whenever they cut to his plain serious face in the dugout, and I love that he's had success, and I love feeling connected to a team now partly through this throwback to the good ol' days.
