Wow, I guess so! I didn't know about those. But it seems they fit in the bottoms of canoes nicely, so are great for portage situations.

I didn't know what portage was 'til I moved to Ann Arbor. Local civic canoe/kayak rentals can involve portage, if you're not just renting one to paddle around the one big pond area at my favorite park in the area.

I've never taken out a paddle boat there. If I ever fall in love again, maybe that'll happen.

I did the Boundary Waters Canoeing thing once in college. It was beautiful. I had a miserable time, because the people I was with were jerky. But it's a beautiful place.
