White Cloud was the non-microscopic town near the Nichols Lake campground where my family camped for a week every summer when I was a kid. And it was nowhere near the dunes or Lake Michigan, as implied by the card. But they had a grocery store, and I thing an office (or the office) of Manistee National Forest.

It was near Big Rapids (as opposed to Grand Rapids), right?

Google maps says it is, but we never got that way--we tended to explore west and north when I was a kid.
