It's just that the photo printing technique sucked in those years, and the colorizing wasn't exactly great shakes either. Early postcard-heyday cards were often printed in Germany, with better techniques that what tended to happen after WWI got going (and we didn't have that friendly business relationship any more).
I like that the backs of the bar chairs are life preservers.

Date: Sep. 7th, 2019 09:29 pm (UTC)I was all set to be disappointed by season 2, and I wasn't. Kind of disappointed by not being disappointed. Er, or something. I appreciate that they actually closed up the storyline well enough that if it weren't for the 30 second teaser at the end, you'd be satisfied with the ending.
