Today I'm a bit absent-minded.  And yawny.  And feeling like the day is taking forever to pass.  And hungry for supper, even though it's 4pm.  And thinking I will stop by a store on my way home, return my empty bubly cans, buy a few things.  Or maybe I'll wait another day or three on that.  I can scare up something to eat.  Or I could stop somewhere for something someone else cooked, as a treat.

One of our local Dairy Queens is open for the season, btw, speaking of treats.  They call their ice-cream-type-stuff locations, as opposed to their Brazier-Burger-and-Such locations, "Treat Only".  I found this out when seduced by a commercial for some special food they're now offering, and wondering how far it is to a DQ that serves food (there's one in just the next town over) (Saint Paul to our Minneapolis, you might say, but the river runs through both of us, not between us).  Now I can't remember what food it was, though, so I guess it wasn't all that special.

Aw, hell, I'll look it up.  ...  Oh!  Hunh.  Suprised I'd forget that, it's so odd.  Odd yet trendy.  And potentially messy.  And only at participating locations.  No clue whether the near-ish one participates.

Also they don't call their burgers Brazier any more.

Okay, so here's today's tie:

It may look out of focus, but I think that's just the print.  I made it sorta jumbo size, to show off its garishness more fully.  Probably would work better with a collar---maybe next time it makes an appearance.

And with that, it's a wrap for Bow Tie Tuesday here at 'Ff'lo.

Long ago, when I lived in Ypsi, I frequently frequented that particular Dairy Queen. I found their "Brazier" hamburgers quite delicious, as well, of course, as their "treats." (In the age of Google, I can even look up what the heck "Brasier" means, and if it should be capitalized.)

Been a long time since I've been there, though I drive by when I stop at the Model Cave on the way back from Ford Lake.

"A brazier (/ˈbreɪʒər/) is a container for hot coals, generally taking the form of an upright standing or hanging metal bowl or box. Used for burning solid fuel, usually charcoal, braziers principally provide heat, but may also be used for cooking and cultural rituals."

Is not a stop at Dairy Queen a cultural ritual?
