I just saw a red-bellied woodpecker on the tree outside my window.  :)

I don't remember seeing one of them at my place before.

The neighborhood duck pair is back, too.  Saw them yesterday.

I'm having a lazy day at home so far.  It snowed a little last night.

I saw Us, despite not liking horror movies, in general.  It certainly held my attention, and it has some nice messing with your mind, and of course now I'll get the cultural references (though I don't mind not understanding those, for the most part), but I don't know that I would've felt like I wanted to see it if I'd known what it had to offer, just on accounta that not into horror movies thing.  However, it did seem to contribute to my latest wild dreams, and not in a nightmare sort of way.  And I tip my hat to J. Peele.

Will I start trying to put together that piece of furniture?  Open up my new paint-by-numbers painting?  Scan some postcards?  I gotta do the cat fluids and the litter, trash, and recycling, and cook something, and probably go to the grocery store, plus laze around.  It's on the list.

I'll probably do postcards too.  Got a good theme week coming for y'all.

That's an excellent shot!

I kinda wish I had a bunny userpic, just so I could join it will all the other bunny pics. But my squirrel doesn't feel completely out of place!

Painting sounds fun!

I didn't take the photo myself, just to clarify. I picked one online that looked most like the angle on the bird I'd just been looking at. So the picture's intended to show what red-bellied (and -top-of-head-ed) woodpeckers look like.

Also I think the squirrel works pretty well!

Well, then, I hereby retract my compliment on your photographic skills, but congratulate you on the wildlife sighting nonetheless.
