Ah! Good catch on where it's from! I saw the Battle Creek but I've never seen Urbandale when visiting BC.

I still wish they posted a date - because if the picture was taken on Feb 10, 1911, that baby was a super growing human! ha.

My guess is that this card, since it wasn't sent through the mail, is one they kept for a family album, writing the info on the back for family history. Like people sometimes did (do?) inside a family bible.

But if not, pity that poor mother, popping out that toddler from the git-go!
