cuz it's apparently the birthday of Jimmy Carter, who's 94, was the first U.S. President to be born in a hospital, and is on the boat in this postcard I recently uploaded, so why not:

Carter always comes across as that rare thing- a thoroughly decent politician. So far as I know his name is and career are unbesmirched by any kind of scandal.

There was a mini-scandal that seems quite laughable now when he told I think Playboy magazine in an interview that he'd "lusted in his heart" for women other than his wife. Imagine! I suppose he was made fun of for it as much as it was a scandal, tho.
