I just realized there was a whole class of driving humor in the 1960's that I just never see anymore. Maybe it's about a technology that has freshly become ubiquitous. Kinda like them newfangled Cellular teleophones, which seem to be dropping out the the humor spotlight now.

I have several images in the hopper of the early days of automobiles and postcardly noting of the newness of that phenom, and the culture around it. Will probably have a week of those soon-ish, here on the (speaking of quick-fading newfangledarity) the World Wide Web.

Newfangledarity is a nice word. But I first read it as "newfangularity."

The best part of "newfangled" is how archaic it sounds. As, by extension, does newfangularity. And maybe it's what they used to call the singularity.
