It's Jaime Hernandez, one of the brothers who draw/write Love & Rockets. Pictured are Maggie (at the mirror) and Hopey (in the tub), with (I think) their friend Daphne apparently impatiently awaiting their readiness to go out. To a club, probably.

It was this image that got me interested, tho I wasn't (and still amn't) a comics/graphicnovel person, particularly. They're remarkable storytellers.

Thanks! I went through an adult phase of reading comics in the early/mid 2000s, and Love & Rockets was just starting a second run at the time. It was considered a legendary book, but I never got around to reading it. These days I don't really want to haul real-life books around, but perhaps there is a digital version?
