someone far away is dead
Mar. 9th, 2005 11:33 amI just heard that one of the dykes we knew in Kansas---a good, spirited woman---died in a car crash.
It's not as if I'd been keeping in touch with her much. She'd gotten a partner since we'd left, and I'd heard that, but I hadn't spoken to her since then. So it's that odd way it makes one sad to have the knowledge of someone's dying, vs. the loss of that person in one's own daily, or even monthly or yearly, life.
