I must admit I get a real kick out of the cards you post with text on them. Like, some little slice of someone's life has been preserved, even if only by accident. As a collector, do you prefer "mint condition" cards or sent ones?

I like both, really. But the edge goes to those sent through the mail, I'd say. Especially if they have an interesting message. It was an oddly sincere & emotional message on one that got me into postcards to begin with.

But there is something sort of amazing about one of those classic-era (c.1910) cards having made it over a hundred years looking something close to new.

I've thought about doing a week of the message sides of cards. This card's from before it was okay w/the post office to put the message on the back. "Undivided back," they call them.
