I think it's interesting how the obviousness of colorized B&W photos tells you that there is a lot more subtlety in color than is obvious.

When they were colorizing movies for a while, I couldn't stop looking at the uncolorized off-white walls and backgrounds. For me it made the things they thought least-important-visually stand out.
