No, I don't mean that I've suddenly been blessed with large, strong women. I mean that I may have just ordered, on a tip, a buncha import CDs offa amazon.com for 99 cents each that now seem to've gone back up to full price. I'm really starting to drool that the order looks like it went through, but it seems to good to be true, so I'm trying to brace myself for it falling through somehow. Here are just a few of 'em:

Very cool picks. I hope it doesn't backfire. Say, is that the import or domestic issue of Reload? The import has an awesome version of "Little Green Bag" on it.

I think they're all imports. I became less worried about quality when I saw that they were imported from all over---including Japan. Don't think I've ever gotten a Japanese CD before, but their lps were certainly better pressings than ours.

Japanese pressings were always nice. Hopefully, your Japanese cds will be, as well. I've fallen in love with the 180 gram vinyl that's coming out now and then. One of my Q lps is on it, and the latest Elvis was released on it. Beautiful pressings.

I have only a vague recollection of liking them---but for a buck, it was (will be? i hope?) worth it.

It kinda blows me away the way you know the music of my youth, which must be kinda like the way PiJ & I went back to discover stuff from the 60's. Unless you're a lot older than you look!

I, like a ditz, did not complete my order that night. So I lost out. Sigh. But it's okay. I didn't need more albums anyhow. :-) So I tell myself.

Well, if you've still got 'em in your "shopping cart" it might be worth a try---I was still able to complete my order on the stuff in it after the prices had been, uh, adjusted.

Lisa,

This was my weekend for seeing X's. I went to Kroger on Industrial saturday. I saw my X, very angry, at the costumer service desk. Then on my way out to the car, I saw your X, Holly, coming into the Kroger. I didn't say anything to either one, but found it particulary interesting.

Hey, C! I'm disappointed, somehow, a little, to hear H. was in the neighborhood Kroger's. I guess I'm at the one on Packard more, but still. Generally it feels unlikely that I'll run into her in the 'hood, and I guess I like it that way? I dunno. As if I "like" anything about that very bad ending.

That Kroger's is the first A2 supermarket we visited---when we were in town looking for a place to live we were staying with a dyke who lived in apts just down S. Industrial. We ate at Benny's that week, too. Then we were hardly ever in the area for the next 2 years.
