Thanks for the explanation. That makes sense now. I'm wondering why they wanted us to pray for them Were they in Russia, trying to leave? Were they sent to Russia... hmmm

Looks like BIEM is an evangelical organization that does things like send Bibles to Muslims and consider nonChristians the unenlightened.

All I could find out about BIEM was that they make a butter sprayer. But I had already guessed they were missionaries.

The link I found that wasn't about what peteralway found was about mechanical (copy)rights societies. So this one would be like ASCAP and BMI, but not what the postcard's talking about. :/
