It's going so slowly.

Just had a stretch of sleep with a dream that ended in my suddenly noticing the silhouette of someone i hadn't known was in the house sitting in a chair (where my paint table is) in the dark. Boy did I scream, in the dream. Screamed so fierce I woke myself up. Then laid there realizing with some surprise I hadn't screamed in real life, until I remembered the sleep paralysis that makes you not move or yell while asleep--- which I could still feel holding me still. It was at an effective level, for sure.

When I could move again I found out that not even 45 minutes has gone by since I'd dropped off into that sleep from the slow hour I'd gone through before that, trying to get back to unconsciousness from the last brief drop away.

The weather is weird. The moon maybe, too. And me.

Wow, that's scary! I've only had sleep paralysis once and it was very freaky. Usually I just have cat paralysis (can't move because there are too many cats sleeping on me).

I hope you were able to get some sleep after that.

Thanks. It wasn't scary. I didn't really describe it well. I was groggy and still half asleep, but the contrast between the dream scream energy and the stillness my body was in as I awoke surprised me--- seemed more like the kind of thing one wakes WITH a (real-life out-loud) scream from. Or at least a shout. Then I remembered the body's thing about sleep and stillness.

Here's another surprise: the lj phone app automatically put in that lj-cut after my first paragraph.

Oh, that's a relief. I thought you woke up scared. There's nothing worse than that!

LJ is having fun these days.

I just want to say that I think this LiveJournal entry is a great literary achievement. I could totally imagine it as a brief interlude in a novel.

Thanks. If the novel'd be like the night, it'd be a slow read. :)
