Had to google the population of Kansas. Apparently they underestimated their room threefold. Unless they meant a million more people. In which case the card was remarkably prescient, with about 1.7 million people in 1910 and 2.9 million now.

You know, the place where I've seen large sunflowers is around US Hwy 94 through Fargo and Moorhead. All I saw in Kansas were the smaller rudbeckia type.
