I think it's all about the timing, and the tide. That is, if I remember right, from watching people dive there on Wide World of Sports, on TV when I was a kid.

Looks cool, but I wouldn't be able to do it. Knowing my luck (considering I'm not good at judging distances very well), I would probably smash myself into the cliff

Definitely seems a gutsy thing to do. Somehow all the moreso with all that exposed skin, soft, and those hard jagged rocks. Not that the cuts and scrapes would be what did ya in. But, I dunno. There's something about that.
