That's when space flight was still something new and exciting. Sigh. I still remember Neil Armstrong's landing. My mum woke me up for it.

Saturn V 500F. This one never flew--the "Facilities Test Model." But because it was the first full-size one that they rolled out to the pad, they photographed the heck out of it, so it shows up in a lot of books, and, evidently postcards. We rocket geeks can tell by the black horizontal stripe above the "USA" lettering, as well as other paint differences.

I like the clever diffraction grating lens flare effect.

Yeah, those were the days...

Cool, the tidbit of never-fired-up info.

I like the pink and orange lights, extra-bright cuzza long exposure, I'm thinkin'.

The diffraction grating effect made them look like bright points of light instead of white blobs.
