This is just me posting cuz I like the idea of not being so irregular a poster.

Hello everyone/anyone else, too.

Tell me something about your day?  Your Friday or whatever it is now?

well, I feel like crap since surgery on Tuesday. I'm keeping busy by figuring out why my mom's Sony ereader won't download books. First, I need to update the software version.

I hope you find Orange is the New Black as absorbing as I did. Potentially good convalescence stuff.

All impromptu-like, I got to walk campus with 4 other Ingress people for a while early this evening. I so very much like having people I like, you know?

I do. And how hard it can feel when they all seem far away, inaccessible, etc.

My day was pretty well. Aside from a typical Friday, I got a flu shot.

I'm getting one again this year. My doc pointed out how it's a good citizen public health kind of thing.

This morning I planted some new plants. Then I came indoors and, a few minuted later, discovered some sort of green insect sitting on my arm, at the very edge of my peripheral vision. My first reaction was to shriek and fling it as far away from me as possible. My second reaction was, "Wait, that looked sort of like it might have been a very young praying mantis. I should find it and check and then put it back outside where it came from." Unfortunately, my second reaction has been thwarted by the fact that my first reaction seems to have prevented me from ever being able to find it again.

I suppose you could imagine it setting up housekeeping, maybe like the tiny people in that children's book whose name I forget.

Just saw this. Hello! It's Sunday night, now. My day and weekend have been pretty much crap. I've slept them away almost entirely, in some combination of just not feeling well and also ending up taking muscle relaxers for this current bout of back pain I'm having. I have that restless, cardboard=tasting, bland disappointment you get after too many days of not being able to do really anything at all. I did read a good book, though, since you can do that in bed. So I guess there's that.

Sorry to hear it was a bummer, your weekend, and that your back's up to that, and not up to much else.

What book?
