Just finished that paper journal I started in the middle of 2008. Feels like it happened at a good point. I zipped over to Hollander's this afternoon to see what they have in (letter sheets and) journals, but didn't buy anything. Turns out I did have another journal on deck: a large ruled Moleskine, still in shrinkwrap, bought at Borders < demise. Not as pretty as my silky Paperblanks French Ornate in green with the magnetic strap closure, bought at the gift shop of the NYC Public Library. But good. Feels like a fine next way to go.

Remembered suddenly just now Tim showing me pictures tonight of the guy he thought might be the stalker, at his gym. The high-pitched voice was the red flag.

I have some new mantras that don't have anything to do with meditation. They're rocking my world.

So cold tonight. Cold all the rest of February. Lips chapped. Where's the goo.

I saw a journal at an antique store from the 1960s and it was one of the most depressing documents that I have ever read...I always wonder how personal things like this end up at public sales...

Well, there's one reason to use really crappy notebooks for this purpose. :) And to get that will written so this guy Steve will be my executor. I don't care if he reads stuff, and I know he won't toss my sentences-etc., agonized to ecstatic, into an estate sale (or [the more likely] donation bins).

Voyeuristic [livejournal.com profile] fflo is curious about that journal you found, though. That's not exactly the same [livejournal.com profile] fflo who wants to witness other peoples' therapy, but they're probably related.

that's interesting. lj lets me comment on your stuff, but when i try elsewhere, it says i need to verify my email address. i think the one they have on file may be one i had to close. anyway, i woudln't WANT to comment on anyone else's stuff anyway!

oh, and i usually use school notebook paper (i.e., ring-bound) for journals. that and the backs of random sheets of old work papers etc. that can make for interesting illustrations -- years later -- of what i was doing at the time, but it also makes things messy.
