What happened to http://www.sorryeverybody.com/ that it lost its domain name? [Update: it's back, as of now (2:50 p.m.).] Did the host balk, or succumb to pressure? The site's out there still at http://72.3.131.10/, but the name version (linked to yesterday by Michael Moore) is gone. (The unfortunate http://www.werenotsorry.com/, which R told me about, is still up and running.)

The office group photo that had me wanting to do a similar one is here:

office sorry group

I was enjoying the site last night---esp. the folks from abroad who put up condolences and encouragements.

Yeah, really. Glad you took time out from crank calling to smear your crap on LJ anonymously. Now get back to wanking off to your web porn.

Weird. Sounds like they either sold their domain for a quick profit, or their domain name registrar has fucked them over. Here's their whois info. GoDaddy is a common domain parker/registrar. Why not call?

You are such a web mistress! Or spinster, rather/too!

Whatever it was, they seem to have it back now. (I'll update my main entry here....)

Thanks for the link -- I'd seen the first few posts, but, thanks to you, I went and read the whole thing. Made me cry -- I'm so weepy lately, but those folks from all over saying stuff like, "It's okay, guys. We know you tried --" oh my.

I appreciate that it acknowledges both the emotional aspect of this whole horror and something else, something involving personal responsibility and common humanity across national lines, and reaching out to fellow progressive sorts elsewhere to say to them, as we try to say to governmental powers here, that we are here, like so many residents of a dust speck on an elephant's nose.

Yeah, the folks from elsewhere really touch me too.

The "It's okay" messages got to me, too. The whole site gets me all verklempt, but those especially. It helps, too, though, eh?

On another note, stupid trolls.

I turned on IP logging after that one, doggone it. Hate to be that way...

I hate that shit. I turned off anonymous posting a long time ago. Pissed me off the few times I got trolled/spammed.
