It's a snow day, and I don't have a headache.

Feels like a bonus Sunday as some cosmic nod to my Sunday having been kompromised by Kopfschmerzen.

I want a steak.  I did some cleaning.  I'll do more.  And maybe I'll get/make a steak.  Oooh, I could heat up the frozen potato casserole stuff I froze when I made potato casserole stuff back in late 2012.  And eat that with my steak. And something green. And maybe I'll go a little crazy and have a drink, too. A Pepsi.

First, a little more laundry wrangling.  And checking to see if I've got some A-1 on hand.

Oh, excuse me--- I mean some A.1.

I'm always interested in the preferences individuals have in steak - what cut, how do they like it cooks, which sauce/no sauce? Now I'm hungry for steak too.

My favorite to make is a T-bone, and I often get one at a steakhouse, too. This time, though, I decided to try cooking the steak(s) (plural, it turned out) in a frying pan, on accounta I didn't want to deal with the mess from my usual in-house method of broiling, and I thought maybe something without a big ol' bone in it would be better. Plus the store had a nice deal on some nice marbley rib eyes, so I went with those. One's still awaiting me for a follow-up meal. :)

Do you remember grocery stores having prime beef? Seems like I do. In recent years the best I see is choice.
