ffloBelle and her new-ish beau Shep have two eggs so far. Watch the cam here.
And/or, if you have a few minutes, check out the laying of the first egg. Doesn't look like much is happening, but once we see it we're treated to her making a place for it and shimmy-settling down to keep it warm.
How do they know what an egg is, or anyway what to do with it? Seems like mammals would have it easier, knowing what that thing they've given birth to is. But maybe not. And in any case culture is probably as much a disadvantage as an advantage.
