climbing back into life

fflomy houseguest arrived. dropped off her bags & headed out to yoga. i'm just now showered and trying to get it together for the evening. this bug ain't the worst cold-type ailment i've ever had, by a long shot, but it's been unpleasant in its own right. was just telling tracy i think i've had more than my share of sick this year.
now i may run out to the library to take care of a little computer business i can't do from this machine. must comb hair out. put on shoes. i can do these things. yet merely thinking about them makes me want to take a nap.
thinking about going back to work makes me want to crawl under the covers and stay there.
in vermont people can now marry people of the same legal gender. i get that that's progress. still. whatever.
the snow is starting to cede to mud. it's gray out there. i need to eat something. i'm just plodding. real glad o's here for some days. we can talk face-to-face, and just sit in the same room, and eat food across a table from each other. she looks really good, even though she calls her pre-cookie hair a "pile" on her head.
