I like subjects for postcards that are kitchy, yes, but especially if they're, say, ordinary everyday places not usually celebrated, or related to the trip to get to the supposed vacation destination, or pictures of the road itself. And diners and roller coasters. And what else. Tourist traps, the cheesier the better. (World's biggest ball of twine, e.g.) (Or better yet, World's Second Biggest something-or-another.) (Like the Second Deepest Hand-dug Well---that's in Kansas, I believe.) "Roadside" is the postcard collectors' category my favorites probably fall into most often.
