Dear Prudence

Dang. Even with only one earphone working, it has rather oddly lifted my spirits to check out

http://www.ni9e.com/typo/typo_lennon.html,

one of the typographical animations mentioned in [livejournal.com profile] typographica today. It's not the animation---it's just hearing the song.

I'm not exactly ready to come out and play, but it's nice to hear John coaxing me.

Very cool. Thanks for the link! John's music is always good for what ails ya.

Hey, there was a "Concert for George" on public TV out here last night. My reception was pretty fuzzy, and sound not consistently fuzz-free either, so there was no point in trying to tape it for you, but I'm sure you'd dig it. Paul and Ringo participated, as did Eric Clapton and Tom Petty and Billy Preston and some other guys I should probably know---like who was that guy from ELO who was in the Travelling Wilburys?---oh, and Ravi Shankar, with a special piece for the occasion. It was a big stadium show---you probably already know about it, huh.

I already knew about it, (it's all the talk on my Q mailing list) but haven't seen it. Sounds like it was pretty good.

Hey, never be afraid to tape something for me just cuz the quality might be off. As you'll see from the videos I'm sending you, my tolerance for that is pretty high.

I remember when we lived in Colorado, where our tv reception went from poor to nonexistent, Roy would watch football when you could barely make out what was on the screen. We know how to do bad reception!
