P.S. I made stew.

I made stew last night. Almost forgot onions! That's what happens when you don't start with the onion.

It figures to be better today than yesterday. Like in the song.

I love you more today than yes-ter-day
But not as much as to-morrrr-oh
I love you more today than yes-ter-day
But not half as much as to-morr-arr-arrr-oh

Every day's a new day, every day I love stew.

O made some good soup at Thanksgiving. Perhaps I want a food processor after all. But I also want a good stew pot. Like this one:

[calphalon stock pot]

Look--- it comes with an onion.

I keep meaning to remember to tell you that your postcard arrived. And made me smile.

This leaves me with a vague desire to make my onion-infused but not containing actual onion bits tomato sauce. But as there are already lots of tomato-based foods in my refrigerator, I'll probably refrain.

A good stock pot is a priceless tool in the kitchen. I just got my 3rd one for Christmas.

I recommend going to a Resturant Supply Warehouse. They have good, heavy duty ones for a resonable price. They don't come with onions.

Oh, and you do not know joy in the kitchen until you have an immersions blender!!!

I have a much older version--- belonged to my grandmother, I believe. The main drawback is that its bottom is all curvy now. I'm cookin' with gas, so that could be worse, but still, a flat bottom and relatively even conducting would be good.
