I was looking for the old John Waters "No Smoking" trailer today & came across a movie series he did for TV: "Movies That Will Corrupt You." Episode 1 is here (minus the movie itself).
This midwestern milieu--- I seem to know how to fall into it. Alas. But I like that old sensibility of my grungy east coast city, among the people who lived with irony south of JW's irony divide (he put it somewhere south of Philadelphia & north of Charm City).
I'm trying to imagine that series on cable out here.
Been thinking about breathing room for the freakish.

I didn't know he did this series, thanks for the link/lead! I esp. love that he picked Freeway, Baxter and L.I.E., all of which were indeed fucked up and so enjoyable!
