i thought of you when i found myself delighting in their delighted shrieks this morning. mighta helped that my ears were wrapped up in a scarf. but it's the second time i've caught that moment in the ballgame; the first it took me a minute to figure out what was going on. this time i just loved it. o for such joy at some pending stepping up to the plate and taking a shot at something.

you remind me of being kisser-hit with the ball from that very comebacker thing. smell the red rubber as the flesh over the bridge of your nose is flattened and everything depressed half a centimeter into your face. it's a sensation.
