maybe i shouldn't call them "irons in the fire"

but then it looks like that expression comes from blacksmithing (-smithery?), not branding. however, the main idiom appears to be having too many, messing things up, vs. having the luxury of more than one possibility.

that was the phrase that came out of my mouth at the soup lunch the other day, though.

had leftover soup today, nuked. feel like the irons could use some reheating too. and maybe they weren't even that hot to begin with.
