Geographically speaking, ...

... my current state is bluer than the old stand-by blue Free State:

[michigan counties red & blue]   [maryland counties red & blue]

I've lived in the red & blue parts of Maryland, but only the blue part of Michigan. And look at the blue part of Michigan! There's a blue streak straight across the bottom, all along I-94, all the way to Chicago! And up north--- hard to believe. And in the middle. And on the edges.

for a change, being blue is uplifting! wanna go out and skip around the block!?

Kent County is blue? That's Grand Rapids. Bastion of Michigan conservatism. Cool.

My county, Allegan County, is red. Oh well.

I'm sad to see that although the news on election night was showing Cheboygan County(the top right of the Lower Peninsula where I grew up) as blue, it is now red:(

There's some blue right next door, though....

Kansas is so red I don't even like to look at it. I was born in a rare blue spot there, but my beloved Riley County--- Obama, 10,033; McCain, 11,729.
